LifeWorks Community Services mission is to provide opportunities for growth and achievement for persons with disabilities who face barriers to independence and integration in employment and daily living. Established in 1965 and based in Fort Dodge, Iowa, LifeWorks Community Services offers vocational, residential and community support services to individuals with mental, physical or development disabilities.
LifeWorks Community Services offer a variety of residential services in the Fort Dodge area. These services consist of two - five bed residential care facilities and seven community based waiver homes with 24 hour support. Also, individuals living on their own can receive supported community living services from LifeWorks staff. Respite services are also available.
Vocational opportunities include vocational training in a sheltered workshop setting, community employment placement/support services and facility based work evaluations. Also, day activity programming is available to consumers.
A volunteer Board of Directors governs LifeWorks Community Services with the day to day operations overseen by an Administrative Team. The staff at LifeWorks Community Services are committed to improving the lives of people with disabilities.
